Greetings!

Started in 2003, The Java Tree was created by artist Traci Morris to fulfill her love of creating ethnic figures and greeting cards with a soulful spirit. Even before becoming an Art Institute of Chicago student, Traci was a life long illustrator and in recent years, a well respected sculptor of unique one-of-a-kind figures. In addition to developing her skills as a sculptor, in 2006 she expanded her horizons into digital illustration. Excited about both mediums, she began in earnest to create her own brand of contemporary black greeting cards. They became very popular, very fast in local spas and gift shops. This led Traci with a desire to offer her greeting cards online as well as invitations which has manifested into a full paper division. Recently her greeting cards were available in select Target stores.

The Java Tree is committed to bringing HIGH QUALITY Fun and Fabulous stationery products and gifts for people of color! Today there are many fun and fabulous trends found in all types of paper products, but not many designed just for us. The Java Tree Cards & Gifts was founded just for that unique purpose!
